My Journey: How I Learned to Fight for Your Property Rights
My name is Brendan Rothschild. Like many of you, I’ve personally experienced the sheer frustration and anger that comes from dealing with what feels like an overzealous and unfair local government. My own battle began way back in 2000, when code officers barged into my house, taking pictures of things like dishes in the sink, a smudge on the wall in my kitchen and a gate that didn’t latch out front. Can you imagine?
They cited me for a fence that didn’t open ‘their way,’ a fence they deemed ‘too high’ (even though it was the best-looking one on the block!), missing paint on my roof’s fascia, and yes, even for high weeds after weeks of non-stop rain when mowing was impossible. It felt like they were just looking for anything to fine me for.
I got fed up. Completely. That feeling of being targeted, while knowing there were far worse issues ignored elsewhere, ignited a fire in me. I started digging. Hours turned into days, and days into years of intense research. I spent thousands of dollars consulting with attorneys, all to understand why this was happening and, more importantly, how to stop it.
What I discovered shocked me: this wasn’t just a local issue. These same tactics, this same ‘power trip’ mentality from officials who seemed to love their badges and pensions a little too much, was happening all across the United States. It felt like cops who couldn’t make the police force were finding a new way to exert authority.
But through all the sleepless nights and the ‘David battling Goliath’ moments, I stumbled upon crucial secrets – effective strategies and legal principles that consistently worked. These weren’t just theories; they were practical tools based on First Amendment violations, selective enforcement, Fourteenth Amendment violations, the Plain View Doctrine, Fair Housing Act violations, Fourth Amendment violations, trespass, due process, and so much more.
Now, my mission is to share these ‘silver bullets’ with you. You don’t need to go through the decades of research and sleepless nights I did. I’ve distilled everything into my FREE 10-Part Series to empower you. It’s about giving you the knowledge and confidence to stand up for your rights, protect your home, your rental property and your business. The amazing part? In many cases, I have even seen the city compensate people like you for these violations.

CLIENTS SAY...
Code compliance kept harassing me about grass that was barely a few inches over their limit. I felt like I was being targeted. This firm stepped in, filed the right paperwork, and shut it down fast. Haven’t heard from the city since."
James R., Fort Worth, TX
They tried to fine me $200 a day over some chipped paint on a backyard fence no one even sees. The team helped me fight back and prove the citations were unreasonable. They knew exactly what to say and who to contact."
Latoya S., Tampa, FL
"We were being threatened with thousands in fines over a few weeds on an empty lot we owned. These guys knew the code better than the inspectors and showed how they were overstepping. Total lifesaver."
Marco D., Phoenix, AZ
"I used to get stressed every time I saw a white city truck pull up. Now I don’t even flinch. The consulting firm helped me document everything, challenge the bogus citations, and made the city back off."
Kendra W., Killeen, TX
"They went after me for not edging my sidewalk 'neatly' — I’m not kidding. The firm got the citation tossed, and they even helped me get the officer reprimanded for entering my yard without permission."
Jerome B., San Bernardino, CA
"I’m a landlord and was getting cited for dumb stuff constantly — peeling paint, grass, trash cans being 'too visible.' These guys taught me how to protect myself and push back. It’s like having legal armor."
Tamika H., Atlanta, GA
"I thought I had no choice but to comply, even though the citations were totally petty. They showed me how to file a proper appeal, and once we did, the city dropped everything."
Ron G., Corpus Christi, TX
"I work 60 hours a week. I don't have time to deal with nitpicky city inspectors measuring weeds. This firm stepped in, handled the paperwork, coached me on my rights, and shut the whole thing down fast."
